The Sky Is Falling, But At Least I'm Wearing Anthro OOTD

Is it just me? Or, is your head spinning too from all the doom and gloom in the world? I am so happy to be home, to have my hubby and kids home, and to just settle in for the night. I want to reflect on my day's experiences of inconsequence, not think about the serious events of late. Here is where things are light. And by light, I mean yep, my Anthro OOTD.

This is such a comfortable silk dress. I've contemplated the Verdant Slip Dress, which is also silk, but am still on the fence. Wearing this dress today made me reconsider yet again. Perhaps a visit to my local store is warranted to try it on in person to see if it is comparable in comfort.  I threw on the cardigan to make the dress wearable for work.  The shoes are simple wedge sandals from Target.

So, while it seems the sky is falling, I'm going to let things go for a moment and enjoy Falling Skies.  I DVRed the season finale and I am so excited to watch it tonight.

  1. It's not just you. I feel like the world is crashing in around us and it's sickening. We are experiencing our own political turmoil here in WI and between that and the global issues happening, sometimes I like to 'stick my head in the sand' and not even venture near the news channels. Sometimes you just need a break!

I am totally kicking myself for not getting that dress. I simply love it. It fits you perfectly.

  2. Awww, thank you Pamela - for both the kind comment AND for taking the time to read my words.

  3. Like Pamela...kicking self for passing on the Castle Lake Dress. Adore the Print. The dress looks great with Bow Belt and Target Sandals.

As for World issues. You said everything I have been thinking about for months. My boyfriend stupidly said that the US is too big to fail. I reminded him of something he says all the time. "The bigger they are, the harder they fall" Not much positive energy at my end either.

  4. "Castle Lake", "Bow" - oh my gosh, I <3 you. As for the world, I can't seem to get worked up about anything lately. I'm also too busy nagging my husband about one thing or another - I swear, he watered my potted flowers by hanging the hose in the pot and walking away for MINUTES. He said we are in a drought so it's not possible to hurt them with too much water. Seriously?! Thank the stars for Anthro! How's that for positive energy :)
